The Podere Giudeo estate in the Val di Mazara constitutes the primary composition of Charme Clerí white, a wine capable of telling an intense story of Sicilian aromas and scents. The vineyards of Podere Giudeo are caressed by the sea wind and kissed by the warm Sicilian sun, expressing the ideal characteristics to give life to Charme Clerí: a white capable of harmoniously combining pleasantness and elegance, freshness and structure. The liveliness of Chardonnay dialogues synchronically with the aromaticity of Moscato Bianco and with the elegance given by a hamlet of Carricante. The result is a balanced wine, with an intense nose, where hints of tropical fruit, citrus and honey blend with the delicate vegetal notes of thyme and rosemary.

Production Area
Podere Giudeo
In the estate of Podere Giudeo, in the Val di Mazara, the soil is predominantly clayey and rich in carbonates. The climate is Mediterranean with strong temperature variations that often exceed 15°C between day and night. The vineyards are located between 85 and 120 meters above sea level and stretch across two opposite slopes with orientations of North/Northwest and East/Southeast.

Aromatic, fruity, floral and at the same time structured and elegant. Charme Clerí comes from a blend carefully studied to maximize the organoleptic characteristics of the grapes that compose it. The terroir of Podere Giudeo, characterized by soils rich in minerals and a temperate Mediterranean climate, gives Charme Clerí freshness and aromaticity, to which is added the elegance and complexity brought by Carricante, obtaining a wine with an authentic and identifying character. Charme Clerí Bianco expands the Charme family into the category of “still wines”, presenting itself as a fresh and elegant wine, with a strong and unmistakable structure

The characteristics of vintages
2023
The 2023 harvest in Sicily was one of the most challenging in recent years: due to unpredictable weather conditions, there was a decrease in production of over 40%. The extreme climatic events at the end of spring and beginning of summer were certainly a real challenge, but despite this, the quality of the grapes proved to be excellent, with healthy and intact clusters, thanks also to the water reserves accumulated during the spring rains. Downy mildew reduced the quantity of grapes but not their quality.

Clean the prawns, removing part of the shell and the terminal fins. Use tweezers to remove the intestine, the black thread. Peel and devein the shrimp. It is recommended to wash them before the operation.
