Chiaramonte Anguva

Ampelographic characteristics of the grape variety

Anguva grape has a low plasticity, little adaptable in territories that are not those suitable to this variety. It loves poorly fertile soils, average warm temperatures and light ventilation. The bunch is large, larger than the other native Sicilian varieties. The berries are spherical in shape of the same color as traditional watermelons, light green and dark green streaks. It is suitable for training systems with spurred cordon and Favignanese pergola with double royat cord. The period of maturation can be identified in the first weeks of August.
