WINE ``OF CHARME`` MIRROR OF THE MEDITERRANEAN ESSENCE
Charme Clerí Rosato
IGT Terre Siciliane
Syrah, Frappato, Nerello Mascalese
Charme Clerí Rosato is the unprecedented meeting of 3 grape varieties: the international Syrah and the native Frappato and a small portion of Nerello Mascalese. The result is a balanced blend that gives life to a rosé with a pale color, a delicately aromatic, rich, intense profile and a palate with good structure and persistence. The notes of raspberry, currant and orange blossom prevail but the flavor component brought by the Nerello Mascalese is also well defined. The wine is fresh, with an excellent acidity component and thanks to its versatility it can be the subject of numerous food and wine pairings, ranging from fish-based dishes, white meats or vegetarian first courses.

Charme Clerí Rosato
Mediterranean essence
It is the result of a path of exploration and discovery that led to the selection of the 3 vines that make up the Charme Clerí Rosato blend. Among the rolling hills of the Val di Mazara, on soils rich in minerals and surrounded by a temperate Mediterranean climate, the Syrah, Nerello Mascalese and Frappato vineyards enjoy ideal conditions for the perfect expression of their varietal characteristics. Charme Clerí Rosato expands the Charme family into the category of “still wines”, presenting itself as a fresh and harmonious wine, with excellent body and balance.

The characteristics of vintages
2023
The 2023 harvest in Sicily was one of the most challenging in recent years: due to unpredictable weather conditions, there was a decrease in production of over 40%. The extreme climatic events at the end of spring and beginning of summer were certainly a real challenge, but despite this, the quality of the grapes proved to be excellent, with healthy and intact clusters, thanks also to the water reserves accumulated during the spring rains. Downy mildew reduced the quantity of grapes but not their quality.

Put a pot of water on the stove. Wash the tomatoes carefully and when the water boils, blanch them for a couple of minutes, then drain them, let them cool, peel them, and put them in the blender. Add the basil, almonds, garlic cloves, and blend everything until you get a homogeneous mixture.
