The marvelous epicurean marathon took place in NYC: 9 Firriato wines have been paired with delicious courses masterfully cooked by Chef Salvatore Fraterrigo of Gastronomia Siciliana Norma.
The Wine&Food joy was welcomed with approvals and recognitions by the large number of media professionals invited. Different labels have been introduced by Federico Lombardo di Monte Iato, COO of the winery and representative of this wide USA Tour bringing this Trapani located winery in remarkable restaurants from East to West Cost.
The dry vinification of Zibibbo varietal wine Jasmin, resulted particularly impressing because of its aromatic fragrances as well as the different expressions of Nero d’Avola, with its best side revelead by Harmonium recently appreciated over the last edition of the Wine Spectator’s New York wine experience. The vigorous fruity notes of wines have been perfectly paired with traditional Sicilian courses, interpreted in a modern way by Chef Fraterrigo, recently included in the Michelin guide.
