Wine, music, and art for the Saint Lawrence night

August 10th, at 08:30 PM

The magic of the night of Saint Lawrence comes to illuminate Baglio Sorìa one year more. In fact, this year the most important of Firriato’s estates in the Trapani area will be the enchanting set of Calici di Stelle, the in the moonlight event promoted by the Wine Tourism Movement for August 10th.

As every summer, the appointment is at 20.30, when the doors of the charming Baglio Sorìa will be opened to the winelovers. The rich schedule of the evening will start with a guided tour in the vineyard, the perfect way to start this wine experience, which will allow visitors to personally discover the cornerstones of Firriato production philosophy, concretized in the meticulous work in the vineyard wanted by the Di Gaetano family and the knowledge of the peculiarities of each single portion of each estate where the “custodians of the authentic terroir” operate.

The evening will continue in the court of the seventeenth-century Baglio, between the ancient millstone and the manor house, where along the entire internal perimeter, between ancient atmospheres and modern comforts, winelovers will go around among the tasting stands that will have a precise task: to discover the immense and varied Firriato universe with an enosensorial journey in the Sicily of the great terroirs, from Trapani to the island of Favignana, passing through the volcanic lands of Etna. The labels will unveil the peerless oenological heritage kept by the Di Gaetano family. This path can be further enhanced with the Vip Tasting: for an extra cost of € 20, with reservations for up to 20 people. By the way, it will be possible to join a special tasting consisting of verticals of three vintages of Ribeca, Cavanera Rovo delle Coturnie Etna DOC and Harmonium Sicilia DOC. In addition, always on reservation, guests can enjoy the Sicilian gastronomic tradition revisited in a gourmet key in the special menu designed for the evening by the resident chef of Baglio Sorìa, Andrea Macca (cost € 35 per person for 2 courses and a dessert  or € 45 for 3 courses and a dessert; drinks not included).

However,  the starred night of Saint Lawrence signed Firriato does not end here. The tastings, in fact, will be accompanied by a compelling live musical path that will move from classical to jazz, while, in the background, the eyes will be captured by the show of Temporary Painting by Massimo Errera and by the belly dance show , for a journey between art and wine that will culminate with the DJ set on the beautiful terrace of the Sorìa Sky Lounge. From here, looking up at the sky, guests can admire the falling stars and enjoy the colors of the fireworks, while in the lounge bar, lovers of fine drinks can not miss the appointment with the cocktails of the Firriato Mixology (excluded from the participation fee).

For ensuring maximum comfort, seats are limited and booking is mandatory: The cost of the evening will be 25 euros per person, including pocket and glass of tasting (12 euros for children aged between 11 and 15; free admission for children under 10). You can make reservations on the site calicidistellefirriato.it; or by purchasing tickets in advance at the Baglio Soría Wine Resort or in the winery (Via Paceco 4, Trapani).
